But then I didn't attempt to snap the body painting (despite having an invitation to enter that area) and only photographed what might broadly be considered the event taking place. You can tell at once if someone isn't happy being snapped. A few idiots push it. People getting dressed/undressed, painted, sharing a quiet moment with others, queuing for an ice cream, relaxing on the beach at the end of the ride...would consider these to be off limits, with the odd exception. My rule is that I would never take a picture of someone I wouldn't be happy to show them.

I avoided the beach this year, I do find fully clothed men following naked people around on a Naturist not right. Last year I did go on the beach and stripped off but didn't take photos.

The sight of that photographer aggressively pursuing a woman basically into the sea are a reason the WNBR is well on its way to dying, or at least becoming a mostly men-only protest. It's one thing taking pictures and putting them online - and we're not helping either, let's be honest - but acting like that, or like the crowd of people that seemingly nearly crushed some topless women in Hyde Park is genuinely threatening. It's no use saying 'it's a public event, they should know they will be photographed' in this situation. Brighton naturist beach is a public beach but you would be considered an aggressive pervert to be fully-dressed and taking hi-tech camera equipment onto the beach in any other circumstance, and people are entitled to expect the same on this occasion too.

We've seen no female riders in some rides this year - Portsmouth, San Francisco, nearly Southampton - and female numbers way down even in other rides where overall numbers are up (London, Brighton). I honestly can't say I blame women for giving up. I truly think we'll be able to count the number of full-frontal women on one hand at even some of the bigger rides by next year.

You are never going to exclude aggressive photographers but you can minimise the risk:
1. fenced off areas at begin and end where only participants can enter.
2. Professional photographers should be managed by ride minders
3. Bit of a tangent - encourage some participants to wear masks so they can maintain their anonymity but still have their bits in the breeze

Well, for one whose mantra of "keep checking back" will hardly be news to regular followers, I suppose I really ought to realize that patience is a virtue; with the passage of a day (and a useful search tool for rides in Spanish-speaking countries: ciclonudista) I came up with some better ones from Venezuela and Mexico; there are more Brightons from the first user cited above; and the second has at least started to upload (at better size) some of the Instagram ones (check the stream, as I've hit the 10-attachment limit); things are, erm, looking up!

If anyone is interested, I can describe how I downloaded the originals (there are probably many ways). Screencaps can be OK, but nothing beats the original images and these are large images.

Seeing that it Adobe Flash, it is slightly more work but not that much more.

Here's something worth me crawling out of the digital woodwork and contributing for old times' sake. It's just one pic, but given that all we have of this fully nude cutie is one other reasonably high-res still photo, I'd say doubling the size of our collection is a decent result.
