Nude photo club strikes in Taipei Metro

A group that gets its thrills by shooting nude photos in public places and posting them online struck again Monday at a Taipei Metro station and on a Taipei Metro carriage, local media reported on Tuesday.

The photos of a naked woman were taken at the Xianse Temple Station on the Xinzhuang Line and posted on the nude photo fans' online forum BeautyCLUB, which was set up three years ago and now has 4,000 registered members, the Apple Daily reported.

Fans on the website praised the photos, which won a contest on the site for best nude photos taken in a public transportation venue.

The paper, which estimated that there are 100,000 nude photo shooting seekers in Taiwan, cited the group as saying its next targets for naked snaps include Taiwan's high-speed railway, airliners and classrooms where classes are actually in session.

According to police, shooting nude photos in public places is against the law, and people who expose their bodies in public or break good social norms can be fined up to NT$6,000.

Responding to the incident, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) said Taipei Metro regulations stipulate that passengers who disrupt public order or "act in a manner that obviously appears to be harmful to others" can be asked to leave or be escorted away by police.

The corporation said that in this case, however, it did not receive any reports of a woman posing nude for photos on its trains or platforms.

One of the fans on the BeautyCLUB website interviewed by the paper described shooting nude photos in public places as being difficult because you have to repeatedly check the venue, avoid numerous surveillance cameras and patrolling police, and then ensure the safety of the nude models.

Active classrooms have been rated as the most challenging venues for shooting nude photos, and no member of the club has yet succeeded in taking such photos in such an environment.

BeautyCLUB is open to registered members only and only those who have contributed naked photos of themselves or their partners can gain access to the part of the website where pictures posted by others can be viewed.

Previous posts have included nude photos of women posing on a freeway and in front of Taipei 101, a landmark in Taiwan's capital city.

Naked woman a passenger in truck that slams school bus

A female passenger in a semi-truck was naked when it slammed into a school bus Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Seven students were taken to the hospital after the crash in Bradford County....FHP later said a female passenger in the semi was naked at the time of the crash. A police officer who arrived at the scene handed her a towel to cover up.

A former private school teacher turned naked stand-up comic says it takes courage to perform nude — especially when the front row is made up of ex-pupils.

Glory Pearl, whose real name is Emma Mitchell, is bringing her show to London on November 18 as part of the Mimetic Festival at

Naked woman in cedar tree leads to meth dealer arrest

A call of a naked woman knocking on doors led to the arrest of her meth dealer, according to the Trinity County Sheriff.

Sheriff Woody Wallace said dispatch received a call around 6 a.m. of a naked woman beating on a door on French Road. Deputies responded but could not find anyone.

Wallace said a second call came an hour later and deputies responded again and found a naked woman sitting in a cedar tree. As they were coaxing her down, dispatchers received another call, this time of a naked man running around and knocking on doors in the same area. Wallace said they were able to round up both naked people, who happened to be in a dating relationship.

"We got them dressed and finally got them to admit they had been on some dope," Wallace said.
