Naked woman flees home after burglars break in while she’s showering

For most people, the thought of unwanted company showing up while you’re in the shower is troubling enough.

But one Houston-area woman faced a far more dire situation after burglars forced their way into her home while she was in the shower.

She’s in her early 20s and didn’t want to be identified, but agreed to share her story with KHOU News in Houston, Texas.

“I was showering and I heard banging, and it sounded like construction being done on the house,” she explained. “I seen a guy punching with a glove and another guy was kicking at the same time. Immediately I knew what they were going to do, and my first reaction was find safety.”

With only moments to react, the woman grabbed her keys and cell phone – then crept, still naked, to the garage.

Somehow managing to avoid detection, she was able to get to her car and quickly flee the premises.

For most people, the next priority would be to find a new set of clothes, or a housecoat, a paper bag – something.

But there was still a crime in progress at her house – and she wasn’t about to let the would-be burglars get away with it.

“I came back and got their license plate,” she said. “I had a full description of the car before I left but I came back a second time just to see, and the third time around I saw all four of them walking out of my house.”
