I don't remember seeing previous ones photoshopped or greenscreened at the source, do you? These ones are pretty blatantly pasted on top of a different background. In the "swimming" one they didn't even try to get the direction of the light to match. Maybe this was a compromise? Like, "we'll make a 'naked' calendar, but only if we can pose in the studio one at a time or in really small groups" or something? I have no idea if that would be coming from the groups or from the university, but since they missed 2018, it seems like the photoshopping might be connected in some way.

according to a recently published article, all photos were shot on sight and there was no editing.
