More rest stop one shots, but we are now nearly ready to roll! There was quite a queue, so people had to stand around waiting to ride off for several minutes.
The ride was a very busy time and I decided not to try and take photos whilst cycling. Falling off is bad enough, but falling off just wearing a safety helmet in a busy town centre is not something you want to happen! At one time in the main shopping centre, we had a motorist who was fed up waiting for the ride to go through and cut across the middle of the ride to drive into a side street...or tried to!!!. His path was blocked by the lady with huge breasts (the one Irish Drunkard mentioned), who proceded to shout (very loudly!) at him, much to the embarresment of his young lady passenger! Anyway, I spent a nice few minutes talking to an american girl (just wearing a silk scarf around her head) who was really enjoying the freedom of being naked. She told me 'This would never happen in the USA', I then told her all about Fremont and she vowed to check it out when she got home. I never managed any photos of her (well, just a couple of long distance ones) and she escaped being snapped by most of the other snappers too! On to rest stop number two soon!

For today's set, we leave the first rest stop and ride about 45 minutes through the main shopping streets until we reach another little public park, just across the road from the famous Brighton Pavilion (once the palace of the Prince Regent who later became King George IV).
This park is dominated by a large 19th century fountain, scene of some nude splashing about in 2008, but the cooler air temperature meant it was not used to cool off this year. Getting so many riders into this space proved difficult, and it was pretty much 'standing room only'. This did not stop another impromptu naked disco starting up, the sound being provided by cycle mounted 'mega-blaster' amps and speakers. A queue (naked of course) formed at the small park cafe, where some folk bought refreshments. The cafe owner was asked in advance about that amount of nude customer's, he said 'as long as they have somewhere to keep some money to pay me, I do not mind them being naked at all'! As you can see, some shots are just a general gathering of semi-nude folk standing around chatting! I was starting to be aware of not chasing the naked women and 'targeting' them like some other snappers, some of whom can be seen in the photos. I just wish all these guys posted them on Flikr!!!
In this close up environment, some guys were getting really 'in the face' of the prettier nudie girls and I overheard some complaints about too much attention. Being an easy walk from the start, a lot of non-riding snappers had made their way to here on foot, to continue snapping away. The first stop is at the furthest point from the start, so unless they rode, they could not cover both places. Some of my shots taken here therefore did not have any girls in them (hence the gaps) as I went out of my way to keep a low profile, at least as far as being a photographer was concerned!

To finish up today, this last shot is one of my fave shots of the day!
I had laid down my bike on the grass and then had a wander about taking the shots you have looking at. When I heard the calls to move off, I got back to find this super (fully nude) young lady had parked her bike on top of mine (there was very little space). We managed to get the bikes apart and as we did, I commented on her great paint job (for some reason, I had missed her all day!) which she told me was done by a girlfriend at the painting party at the assembly area. Goodness knows how I missed her there!!!  I asked if I could take a photo and she said 'of course you can!' and offered me this wonderful smiling shot. Needless to say, having such a cutie pose so nicely in front of you like this is a treat (compared to my beach photos!) indeed, and one that made my day. Next up, a huge number of shots as the ride reaches the beach area!

These shots start the event 'Finale', hosted as in previous years at the (in?) famous Brighton Nude Beach. The beach was opened over 25 years ago, to much publicity as it is actually in the urban area of the city, albeit at the quieter end of a very busy and popular beach. Later, they bulldozed the shingle into a wall, to shield the users of the famous electric railway (seen in the shots) from seeing nude bodies!
To get to the beach, the riders have to cross the little railway via a small gate. This caused a huge bottleneck which allowed the snappers a great chance of getting some nice close up shots. This year a couple of the young male asian snappers (asian in the UK tends to mean Indian/Pakistan origin, rather than the less common far eastern types, the old 'Empire' is to blame!) who always crowd around at the start actually stripped naked themselves  so as to 'blend in' more. They stood right by the gate with their motor drives on overload!I found it hard to get any good shots as it was so crowded, so decided to move up the shingle bank a little later on. It is worth having a closer look at some of the shots from this section, as I was suprised at the number of girls i had missed (mostly just topless) that appear in the 'crowd' shots.

The queue to get to the beach continues! Trying to spot some the females is difficult, as often a naked guy will walk in front of the camera at just the wrong moment!
In the next post, my waiting pays off, as I get some nice shots of the fully nude Uni students who now have teamed up with the girls and boys from 'Climate Camp' to make a nice little group of about 12 fully nude (mostly) people. They appear to be standing around waiting for some mates who have their food for the picnic! We will also get to see others arrive like the really cute 'bottomless with a hat' girl and the brunette from Sweden who someone requested earlier on this thread!
