Its interesting to observe the pubic grooming habits of those who plausibly could be mother/daughter. I think leaving it hairy is again a trend mostly among nudists and those who somehow define themselves as "body positive". Similar spectrum to the hippies back in 70ies. And since mostly those are the ones going public nude and getting caught (!) we are seeing much more. Lately non of the girls I dated particularly had hairy bits.

So what I'm trying to say is I think the example pool we are looking here can not be a general representation.

Years ago I lived for a while with my then-girlfriend, now-wife, at her parents house. I came home late after work and my mother-in-law was still awake and I had a talk with her. At that time, she was in her mid 40s at that time while my wife (then girlfriend) was in her early 20s. At some moment, I believe we came to the subject when we talked about swimwear or lingerie, the topic of pubic hair was discussed. I found out my mother-in-law kept a landing strip (never seen it, though), while she was a bit surprised to find out that her daughter kept a full bush at that time and had a much hairier pussy than she had. She thought her daughter would shave, as that was the most common style for young women at that time.

My wife kept the full bush for years. However, early this year, she started shaving again and nowadays keeps it smooth. I have no clue how her mother keeps it nowadays.
