Asia Therme in Kleinenbroich, 25min from Düsseldorf central station with the S8 line of the S-Bahn.

I haven’t been there in some years. It doesn’t have a textile section, the whole place is nude but a robe is required for the restaurant (as usual). The locker room is mixed. It has a wide choice of indoor and outdoor saunas and pools. If you go on a Sunday afternoon, or in the evening during the week, you’re likely to get a good mix of guests.

Please note that they don’t seem to accept credit cards, only German debit cards or cash.

Can someone please describe the changing room etiquette at spas? They are mixed I presume, so is it a case that people walk around naked there too?

Well, I guess names are taboo, but experiences and descriptions are not.

I was in the place to B during the summer and saw a tall, blonde creature, very single and very nude. Amazing sporty body with a great tanlined booty and small tits. Shaved. Stood behind her waiting for the plunge pool. Ofc she didnt cover up.

So, tall, blonde, German volleyball team regular. Played for Greek clubs. Maybe you should pay finally pay some attention to this underrated sport.

In Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Flanders, places that are essentially saunas/wellness, ie not attached to a large textile complex, tend to have mixed changing rooms, but there are exceptions.

I don’t know about “walking around” naked there. People normally take off their clothes, are briefly naked, and then they put on a robe or a towell. Some women prefer to strip to their underwear, put on a robe, and then remove their underwear. That makes little sense to me since they will be naked in the saunas and pools, but I have often seen women doing that.

Usually people just change and stay in one place. Although I have seen woman brushing their hair and applying lotion infront of the mirror completly naked walking back and forth to their locker.

The dressing room is usually a small intimate space so great if you have exhibitionistic tendencies.

I have not seen any entries discussing spas/saunas in Portugal. Does anyone know if hotel spas/saunas in that country are swimsuit required, topless required, or clothing optional? If you have specifics, I would love some hotel recommendations in Porto, and in the Algarve that requires my wife to be at least topless, ideally nude (like Germany for example) when using the wellness facilities.

My wife is shy and modest, but I have found that she will "do as the Romans do" and go nude in places where that is a requirement. For that reason, I try to plan our holidays in countries/areas where nude bathing is a requirement.

There is a Vabali Spa in Schalbruch just outside central Dusseldorf. Not fully as fancy as Vabali Spa in Berlin, I'm not sure anything is, but definately not bad at all.

Since Portugal is a very Christian country in the south of Europe I highly doubt you will find something. Instead of you specifically google a clothing optional/nudist resort

When I was in the Algarve a few years ago, there were girls topless on the beach. Not many, but definitely more than a handful. I was hoping that extended to wellness centres as well.


I am now planning for a trip to Germany around Christmas time, the mecca of all wellness centres. Would anyone care to recommend any outstanding nude hotel spas? Not necessarily massive wellness centres as I'm not sure my wife would go for it, but a hotel with a nice (nude) spa would be an easier sell.

Germany is pretty big, you might want to specify the region/city you are staying at.
