"will be suspended until the end of the week."

WTF? Maybe it's just sloppy reporting and really means "ended, but will be resumed if any new information surfaces to justify additional searching". But as written, it sounds like they're taking some time off to let the trail get cold and minimize her chance of survival if she's injured and can't move. I understand that resources are limited and they must eventually end the search if there is little prospect of success. I assume any search that has been ended will be started again if new information becomes available that would narrow the search. I understand that bad weather that could jeopardize the safety of the searchers, or that reduces the chance of success, would cause a suspension, but the article doesn't indicate that that's a factor. So we can just guess about what the real story is.

at this point, the whole story is a bit mysterious because we have such little info and no one else (family members, general public, etc) seems to be getting involved.

Where are the family members? Interviews with them? Have they come down from Vancouver? Other friends and concerned citizens?

Did someone make this all up???

Stephen A robbed while naked swimming woman distracts him [I've removed the victim's full name]

A Tennessee man found this out the hard way when a woman dipped in his pool, naked, as her husband robbed his home.

As he gawked at the swimmer for a good 20 minutes, the burglar got to work.

He stole jewelry, medication and a firearm from the home in Crossville on June 27, CNN affiliate WKRN reported.

How it started

The couple, who live nearby, approached Stephen A, with the wife asking if she could swim in his pool.

The wife sent her husband to get her cigarettes, then asked A if he would be bothered if she swam naked.

Not a problem, A said.

"I went and got her a towel, she dried off and all of a sudden she was soaking wet again," A told the affiliate. "I escorted her outside and invited her to church, but she said she didn't have time for that, she wasn't ready for that."

what i don't like about this is knowing that there is a possibility that she was abducted and perhaps r*ped. I sincerely hope that they find this woman alive and well. She is currently missing after having gone for a short hike from a campground in the nude. Why she ventured out in the nude, we may never know. Hopefully though, she will live to tell us all why she did it. If this was truly an innocent experience in the naturist spirit, I applaud her courage. On the other hand, if she was on drugs, alcohol, or was mentally impaired, then maybe now she can get some help.

Man wants jogger to stop pooping on his property

It was Easter Sunday, and a young woman was on her morning run. She made a turn, jogging towards an alley. Then a security camera catches her.

"Drops her pants, lets go, puts her shorts back up, without any wipe, nothing else," said the man who lives at the home, who didn't want his face on camera and wanted to be called Bobby.

"This is malicious fecal distribution," he said. "She's come back multiple times," at least four times.

He has no idea who she is and why his home has become her personal toilet.

Bobby says she always strikes on weekend mornings. In fact, his security cameras caught her again this past Saturday.

"I saw this little blonde girl running down the street. I said, 'Oh my god! That's got to be her,'" he said.

Unsure, Bobby left his home and did some errands. When he came back, the evidence was there.

"This is calculated. ‘Look look look, I'm dropping my pants as I'm running,'" he said.

Near-naked woman arrested

Oliver Springs, Tenn., police said a woman they arrested was overserved, underdressed and had an attitude.

Crystal Jane Wombles remained in the Anderson County Jail on Thursday. A booking officer said the 35-year-old Wombles had made her initial court appearance, but it wasn’t clear whether a public defender had yet been assigned to her case.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported a police affidavit described Wombles as “extremely intoxicated” and wearing only a T-shirt when police arrived Monday. Officer Nathaniel Nelson’s report stated neighbors said Wombles was “all naked” on a porch minutes before he arrived. Neighbors sent their kids inside and called police.

Police said Wombles refused to put on her clothes and tried to bite Nelson on the arm as officers tried to clothe her.

Naked woman removed from roof after biting YMCA employee in the face, police say

A 34-year-old Newport News woman walked into the Newport News Family YMCA and asked for a drink of water, police spokesman Lou Thurston said.

The woman went to another area of the building, assaulted three people — including an employee who was bitten in the face — and made it to the roof and threatened to jump, but police intervened, Thurston said.

Witnesses said the woman made it to the pool area and got into the water clothed. After getting out, she grabbed a girl and several people tried to get the woman off of her, said Shaunta Cunningham, who was at the YMCA to take a Zumba class. The woman began undressing in the pool area before going to the roof, Cunningham and another member, Josie Odom, said. They also said they saw others being attacked.
