I actually really like white stockings and dig hold ups too. I hate it though when they are worn too short, such as with the "Sexy Nurse" or "Sexy Schoolgirl" look every Halloween. You shouldn't see the lacy tops of the stockings until the skirt or dress comes off.

Agreed on the bustier. Honestly, I think pulling off a longline bra is a true art. They can either come off as way too sexy try-hard, like the bustier in question, or they just look like a bland undervest. I think it's a balance of having a feminine style and being the right length, which for me is exposing the midriff...maybe a little higher. There used to be some longline examples in the tried-and-true Sears catalog that really got my imagination going, but I am strained to think of a good example of a longline in a movie. They always either go the "too sexy" or "too vesty" extreme.

On topic of undies and theater, I've said this before, but I think what makes the other famous EUF play, Rocky Horror, work so well is they never try to change Janet or the type of clothes she wears. She's always dressed in some churchy outfit with sensible underwear underneath. The director never tries to put her in a hip outfit or in naughty lingerie. Part of Janet's whole character arc is she's a prude who gets stripped to underwear, which she has to run around in for half the show, and then becomes sexually awaken. Putting her into some hot red, sheer lacy bra and thong wouldn't work with that.

I didn't know if she was any good, and I didn't want to have to lie to her if she wasn't (she would have known. I'm not a good liar). I told her if she ever got the lead in Rocky Horror, Noises Off or Butterflies are Free, I'd be there in the front row. She thought about that for a minute, and then gave me a playful (but rather hard) punch in the arm. She knew exactly what I meant.

I can't remember the name of the play, but I had a girlfriend in college who acted in a production that required her to run around in a bra and slip for a scene. We didn't meet until after the production and she told me about; so I didn't get to actually see the scene in question. She wouldn't have been the type to get embarrassed to do that, especially if it was for the art, but it was still nice for my imagination.

I would also recommend "What the Butler Saw" by English playwright Joe Orton. It pre-dates "Noises Off" by about 15 years and is a sex farce in the same vein. It is a staple of theatre companies.

A few quick searchers on Google and YouTube will bring up a lot of material if interested.

What the Butler Saw is a farce like Noises Off but the comedy is way darker.

Poppy's skirt ripping is indeed quite a highlight. She is supposed to be a 'plain jane' character who would never do a sex kitten type of role, so there is real embarrassment at being in her panties in front of everyone. Here is a collection from my archive. Apologies for any reposts.
