Interestingly, despite that these women walk around with their fanny out all day, when they sit down they will position their crotch on the ball of their foot, so no one can see their inner labia. Thanks for the update tainted - I have learnt something new. Their tribe has been on pay tv a bit lately and it got me curious. I have not noticed the crotch on the ball of their foot yet - but I will keep an eye open.

I read an article in the internet (sorry, I don't remember my browsing) where the author explains the sitting position. It has more to do with keeping a guard against animals going by the area. There was a video in the Travel channel about the Zo'e Indians, and the women sit in whatever position is comfortable for them. Maybe it's a custom with the Xingu tribes?

After reading your post, I did an image search for Zoe Indians and found this small photo of two women. I censored them to remove images of the babies they are holding. I was surprised that these women do not pluck their pubic hair.
