Here are some fun New Orleans pics, mid-ride.

In a reversal of the common practice of undressing during the ride, we see here the lone nude girl actually added some type of sumo-style wrap along the way. It doesn't seem to cover much, so I wonder why she didn't either 1) go fully nude or 2) put her bikini bottoms back on? There are nude males on the ride, so I'm sure it wasn't a case of being asked to cover up by the authorities. Is she just being goofy, or did she get self-conscious and improvise something to cover up?

Conversely, the cute redhead follows the traditional trajectory. She starts off covered, then loses the top as she gains confidence. Sexy.

A few more New Orleans pisc from the same series.

While I think we all prefer rides with scores of nude riders, it's nice to see these newer/smaller rides getting bigger and bolder.

And speaking of smaller rides with less nudity--but that are fun nonetheless--here are some from St. Louis. I believe the ride started in 2008 with no nudity whatsoever, but has been gradually pushing the limit. Supposedly nudity is not allowed, so the riders are careful to toe the line. Over the past few limits I understand that there have been topless women and nude men during the ride itself, but they seem pretty careful to only show only the technically covered stuff (pasties, painted etc) in photos. Hopefully that will continue to follow a natural progression toward more rather than less nudity.

Interestingly, there seems to be a strong burlesque influence in the St. Louis aesthetic. I don't think that's an accident. Some of the flickr users who had WNBR gallers also had burlesque galleries, leading me to believe there's been quite a bit of cross-over between the subcultures.

Here are some from Amsterdam. There appears to be at least one fully nude attractive female, which is enough for me to take notice.

And finally, a few from Montreal. I believe this is the same gallery that Crispus linked earlier. While not the biggest ride, it appears that at least half the girls went fully nude.

Please note that a couple of the _o size pics were over the 8 MB limit, so I re-sized them to 90% of the original size. This seemed a good compromise between not being able to post them, and posting the much smaller b size.

Finally, I think we can file the last pic under Things That Were Inevitable. I believe this is our first instance of a naked WNBR planking.
