Wasn't she nice looking though? She is my hometown girl so to speak and I followed her from the beginning of her time in the national spotlight (where so many begin here in Track Town USA), and she stayed in the competitive running world for a long time. She still looks damned good in the picture you posted. Thanks for your comments. It's nice to look back once in a while at the pioneers of athletic beauty. I don't want to go back to the old days. Athletic women are more plentiful and much hotter now. I'm extremely happy with the way things are. However, a tip of the ballcap to the gals we used to fantasize about is nostalgic, fun and appropriate.
