The production value of Japanese porn is incredible. They really go all out. It's never dull and boring like western porn. You can actually get lost in the storylines and forget that you're watching a porno (especially some of the Sci Fi/horror stuff). And best of all, the japanese hire the most beautiful women for their porn. A porn actress in Japan never LOOKS like a porn actress.

So true on multiple levels! I write about EUF and ENF themes on my DeviantArt, often talking about movie scenes and what I think makes them work in terms of this fetish (https://www.deviantart.com/humiliationinc/gallery).

I'm about done writing an entry that is going to focus exclusively on stripping scenes from JAV and pink films. As you said, Japanese films just handle this subject matter so much better than American films. There really is a lot of emphasis placed on the actual stripping. I think chikan films really get that. Some don't even have sex or much sex at all as the emphasis is on undressing and groping the woman. And yes on the pantyhose angle in Japanese films. So many time stop films make a big show of the guy ripping apart the woman's pantyhose. It's great stuff!

+1 to that! Asami Ogawa is basically Japan's equivalent of Jenna Jameson, but she has always just looked like a girl next door.

Related, whenever an archetype is introduced in a Japanese film, she's made to look exactly what she's portraying, rather than a "pornified" version of the archetype. For example, a nurse in a JAV looks like a legit nurse rather than someone dressed in a "sl*tty nurse costume" from the Halloween store.
