Despite being a writer, the rigid freedom experienced there from story to story makes it out to be a Hellhole. The best I could imagine is having a "Mega Story" where the first page acts sort of a link list to other stories so everything could be contained and more easily monitored. |

Eurgh. Writing.com... f*** you -_-
I had an idea today for not one, but two interactive stories today. Like, brand new ones, only both ideas were unique enough that they'd never been done before. So a few minutes ago I logged into writing.com intending to add them both - Private, for now, until I'd added a chapter or two to flesh the ideas out - and now it's telling me that in order to add a new Interactive story I have to sign up for their Basic account, which I need to pay for. Thanks Writing.com for allowed me to pay for the privilege of creating new content for your site, providing you with traffic for your intrusive adverts. It's awesome. Also, only $209.00 for a year's Premium Membership? WHAT A BARGAIN! -_- I'm going to start a Google search for a new story site, see if I can find anything decent. Just so that I don't lose the ideas, however, here is a quick reminder to myself what they were about: Amy's Dumbass Friends - The story of a normal girl and her three friends who, though their own mistakes, ditzyness and, at times, drunkenness often leave Amy in embarrassing situations. Think of it like a reverse Forgetful Lily. Amy: The normal, sensible one. Karen: A friendly drunk who is quick to lose her inhibitions - and her clothes. Tess: A ditzy blonde who often forgets important things. Jane: A bibliophile bookworm who loses herself in whatever book she is reading - and, sometimes, loses her touch with reality. Idea for Chapter: Amy, Karen and Tess go out for a night on the town clubbing. When Tess sits on a barstool it quickly becomes apparent that she's forgotten to wear underwear, and her skirt is really, really short. After some cajoling she convinces the jeans-wearing Amy to go with her to the bathroom and loan her the panties she's wearing. Unfortunately for Amy, the ditzy Tess reaches into the stall and grabs the jeans by mistake. OR - the panty swap goes flawlessly, until Amy realises the zipper on her jeans is stuck / or the button is loose. The Namish - A story set in 2115 where most standards of decency have deteriorated tremendously. In the same way that we laugh at Victorians for thinking ankles were indecent, the people of 2115 laugh at us for the shame we feel at exposing our bodies. All except the Namish. Called the New-Age Amish, nicknamed the Nineties Amish and generally called "The Namish", they're a community who believe life was purer in the 1990's, before the Internet washed away human decency with pornography. Monica has grown up in the Namish life and knows little of the world outside her town. That all changes when her school catches fire, and Monica is forced to attend a public high school in the big city. She finds herself in a world where the PE kit is nude (albeit with a fake hologram PE kit covering her bits - when it isn't malfunctioning), where lessons are beamed straight into the head (and leaves unwitting students open to hypnotic suggestion by the technically-minded bullies of the school). Note to self; the hologram is generated by magnetic strips that tie around her neck, wrists and ankles, and creates the image inbetween. One of the girls in school decide to help her - perhaps they put on one of the bracelets upside down to intentionally embarrass the Namish girl. Starting options: family decide to help Monica grow accustomed to outside life, so although one of the options takes her straight into school life, the others have her and her family visiting a mall / beach in the technological world with embarrassing consequences. I've found two possible sites:
http://infinite-story.com/ Doesn't have a search function, so I can't see if they allow erotic or ENF style stories. The banner at the top of the site seems familiar, however. Has somebody linked to stories here in the past? Does anyone have any experience with it before I sign up? http://www.protagonize.com/ Hmm... I think this is a no. I've typed "ENF" into the search function and came up blank. Tried "Naked" but the stories that come up don't really seem erotic in the least. The nudity is more of an artistic thing. |

Hmmm, I'm seeing $19.95/year for a basic membership. (Their "Premium Plus" membership is $419.95/year?! Yikes! Why, you could get about 3 lifetime OCC memberships for that!) Not saying you should or shouldn't get a membership.
Maybe you have an alter-ego who needs an account?

I never understood why Writing.com is so dogged on making people pay, especially for being able to add three options or more and including more stories. I mean, I could understand if they actually did something, even provided maybe scenarios, but as I understand, it seems they only host the site. I'd consider "donating" some to help the site make some money, but limiting my choices and blaring me with ads that can't be blocked when I am the one providing the content people are coming to see is baffling.
"Hey, pay for this service." "Okay, what do I get?" "I'll let you add even more content to my site!" As for a new place to add to our favorite fetish stories, especially interactive, our options are limited unless someone here wants to fess up that they're a coder. ----------------------------------------------------------------- http://infinite-story.com/ As for this, if it makes you make an account to see anything, we're already shooting ourselves in the foot. We've a nice little community here, but we always need more authors and retreating to a super secret and exclusive site only serves to wane our numbers. http://www.protagonize.com/ I don't think we'd be welcome there. Although, from what I've seen, sex is rarely if ever in our stories, there's many times of masturbation and an undeniable erotic tone to it. As you have, I couldn't come up with anything. I searched and the worst I found was the implication someone might engage in coitus at a later time and they drank some alcohol. I think it might be aimed at highschoolers trying to find a niche in writing rather than a horde of perverts as Writing.com is. |

I have been considering using some kind of wiki software and I have looked into that. The problem with http://editthis.info is that it seems to have zero support from the owner, there is no development going on at all, it is horribly slow, mismanaged and has no moderation. That and the page view captcha

I was wondering if anyone was aware of any writing.com Interactive stories that are still being regularly updated? The only one I still know of besides my stories is this:
http://www.writing.com/main/interact...026-Im-not-her I'm sure there's more that are still going out there though. |
