Dear BH,

Please don't mind what some others have said. The standard of threads here on OCC is generally excellent and I mean no disparagement to VB, whose contributions are always high quality. However, this wonderful thread of yours is absolutely outstanding and I am sure that that there are many out here who are very grateful to you for all the time which you have taken and the hard work you have done to share some part of your collection with us.

Wow, this comment seems to have struck a nerve with some people because I had a whole bunch of private messages about it. All the posters here do an outstanding job. And yes I know that a lot of the posts in this thread got reposted there because I love his thread and check it often. But that's OK; the title of his thread is best of what's around. And once something gets posted here or somewhere else it's "around." Although I appreciate people looking out for reposts etc. it doesn't bother me if some of my posting end-up in his thread and it shouldn't bother any of you either.

Truth is I get most of my material from private trades, which is why I usually have the story behind them. But, and this may come as a shock, some people actually rip-off material from other sites and pass it off as their own (gasp@!) So while I try to catch those, I know I end-up accidentally posting material that came from other sites. So it may have already been "around" before I posted it.

Bottom-line, please just enjoy the posts.
