Not every picture can be fixed. You have to use a program like Opanda IExif to see if there is a thumbnail and manually restore it. If you do a search for exif you'll probably find a thread on how to do it.

I downloaded the free Opanda exif will that work? Can't find anything on line on how to manually restore.
