Mixed nude European sauna experiences

I spent the weekend in Switzerland and managed to spend almost 4 hours in a spa/sauna. Because the weather was very warm and sunny the pool complex was full and the sauna area was fairly empty. The sauna had a few couples sun bathing/ resting between saunas. They were mostly older larger ladies. There was various tattoos and piercings on display along with different hairstyles below from full bush to bare. I just love the let it all hang out attitude and have come to realise that all women are beautiful in their own way.

I love the whole aufguss ceremony there and the fact that the whole facility was spotless. People weren't a bit afraid to go bare in the sauna and even if they wrapped in a towel or robe to move around the facility they were bare in the cabins and shower. Maybe 20 minutes before I had to leave a couple of younger girls walked around the area in their swim costumes looking a little nervous and then returned in a larger group just wrapped in towels. I seen their bare asses as they headed into the big cabin. I could see the giggles from their shoulders. Unfortunately I couldn't stay to see more of them but I will visit the next time I am in the area.

I agree with this. I really did get to admire every bit of her naked body from the front and the back because of how small the sauna was.

So I went for a quick session at the local large sauna and spa. The place has 3 large adjacent outdoor pools. As I went on a weekday it was less busy and I did not expect much eye candy.

Well 2 woman absolutely stood out.

First was a girl in her early twenty with an absolute stunning girl next door figure but big and very firm c cup breast. Her partner (or sugar daddy or whatever they did not seem to have much chemistry) was twice her age and balding and fat.

The second couple was the highlight. She was also early twenties max. very sporty slim with small but perky a cup breast. I saw them in the pool, her straddling him with closed eyes and clearly stimulated or having sex. At one point she looked up to me in the adjacent cold plunge pool and was clearly shy/ashamed she had been caught. But they continued. I changed to the warm pool and kept a distance of 5 m. The guy was not moving but she was clearly in her world. Once she finished she smiled and dismounted him and faced me she was giggling and embarrassed but also happy. She saw me looking and knew I knew. (She did not know that I also did get off exactly at the moment she stepped out naked of the pool.)
Shortly after I left the pool and went to change. by chance the girl was in the adjacent row and I got a look at her taking her robe of in the mirror. I went outside and saw them coming outside past me. She saw me and giggled and said "oh no". They parted ways at the parking lot.

Maybe this isn't the right place to ask, but what saunas do you all recommend in Germany?

My wife and I are visiting Berlin (and possibly Munich) next year with another couple that we are friends with. We are already planning on going to Vabali (which my wife and I have been to multiple times). If we go to Munich, we'll likely go to Therme Erding as well.

Are there other places that people recommend? If we don't go to Munich, what are some other places in Germany that we should visit that have great textile-free saunas?

What about other places in Europe for textile-free experiences (we may tag on a second country in addition to Germany)?

Any sauna therme in Germany will be nude. I recommend a weekday evening or a weekend if you want to see lots of people.

Within Berlin, the Lutzow Sauna is a smaller more cozy place. Worth a visit.

Close to Berlin there is the Kristalltherme in Ludwigsfelde (beware of the textile days and avoid them). Large, but not as stylish as Vabali.

A bit further away, you have the SATAMA SAUNA RESORT & SPA situated at a beautiful lake. Perfect on a sunny day.


If you are in Munich, there is always the gigantic Therme Erding, where you can see thousands and thousands of naked Germans. But it is more of a bucket list thing, its hardly charming.

If you have the time, take the train south up in the Alps to the Tergernsee train station, stroll around a bit, and then go to the Monte Mare Sauna situated at the lake. Stunning scenery is just the start. Its ridiculously beautiful.


In Köln there is plenty to choose from. I would choose the Mediterana in one of the suburbs. If you want to live and dine in STYLE, spend one or two nights at the Schloss Bensberg which is within walking distance from Mediterana.

I humbly disagree with your comment on Therme Erding. It may not be super "charming", but it is definitely nice to spend a few hours naked and enjoying seeing hundreds of naked Germans of lots of shapes, ages, and sizes. I regularly work my flights from Europe back to the US to have a long enough layover at MUC to grab a rental car, head to Erding, get 4 hours of naked time and then back to the airport.

It makes for a much more visually stimulating layover than sitting at the airport!!

Well, if you'e flying, Therme Erding does have the great advantage of being close to the Airport, both the Airport and Erding are north of Munich. But if you, say, arrive by train, going south to Tegernsee instead of north to Erding is what I prefer to do.

I have done the same during layovers and wish I have had more time.
