Anybody who has ever taken a holiday in spain, france, greece will know, it is rare to see a black girl go topless, I have seen it happen, but there is no doubt they are much less likely to.

It's quite easy to understand indeed... White girls who remove their tops on the beach generally use the "moral justification" : "I do this not to show my boobs, but only to have them tan, to avoid tanlines". A black girl who goes topless at the beach is more clearly labelled as an exhibitionist, than a white girl.

Indeed, my wife is black, and I know a lot of other black women. None of them ever remove their tops on the beach. Even putting a bikini seems quite difficult for many of them, a one piece swimsuit seems more suitable for them who generally want to get as little tan as possible.

Same thing in some nude beaches, where people use the "moral justification" : "I go there only to get tan, I'm not an exhibitionist nor a voyeur", and therefore are quite really rejecting black people mostly if they come to nude beaches, considering them as voyeur/exhibitionists.

mmm.....I dunno. I didn't think most women needed a moral justification to go topless or nude on a beach. Most just do it and I don't see them worrying about being labeled an exhibitionist. Only in cases where the vast majority are clothed might that be the case. But to suggest that others on the beach are going "Oh - its OK for HER to do it because she just wants tan boobs, but not OK for the black girl" - well, I've never run into that in all my years. There are just too many other good reasons to go naked at the beach, and people have been doing it long enough now that I don't see much of a stigma attached to it anymore. Maybe where you live, perhaps....but not where I go.

Anyway, but to offer a different explanation for the relative lack of black women on nude beaches, I would suggest some cultural factors. Such as the perception among blacks perhaps that nude beaches are the province of white, upper middle class, educated people, dare say "elites" or "cultural elites" in society. Would you tend to see blacks mingling with that group in general? If not, then maybe they just feel more comfortable spending their free time elsewhere.

I think Klondike makes a good point.

Also, I'll add my two cents. Most black people grow up in families that are deeply religious. So there is the "shame" factor and the "you are going to hell if you show off your body" factor. This thinking seems to be decreasing with more pics being available like in this thread and in the "self-shot" thread.
