So, here is the deal, number three son dropped out of college four years ago to go to the "Land of Palin" (Alaska) and work on the pipeline. The job lasted two years, then the layoffs happened.

When we saw them, for the past two years, no mention of this. He has a wife and a five year old child, and one of the favorite things that this grandson loves is wearing a cowboy hat, getting my old cap guns out, and we would sit and watch the old "Lone Ranger" episodes together

But I digress, for two years now he's been knocking around, finding odd jobs, and living off his savings. When that ran out, the credit cards were used to make the rent and buy essentials.

My wife got the phone call when he lost his only truck to a title loan place and was on his last straw. Any guesses how far in the hole he got?

Five credit cards at $20,000 each. About $100,000, give or take.
Western Union was not an option, so a bank transfer was made for $10,000 to move him back here with us and work on the problem. Now for the prep work and finishing touches.

How do I know the money will be used for this, you might ask yourself?
1. (I'm sure we've all heard this one before from your Dad) You do not want me coming up there.

3. He loves his family, and his wife is on the verge of moving out due to the pressure

Crazy Marty is dropping off a double wide mobile home and Electrician Eric and Pete the plumber are coming over to hook it up. I know a U-Haul has been rented, with traveling money to cover gas, food and lodging.

This made me think how many other people have been in this situation?
Hundreds, thousands, Millions?
How many families are homeless because of this "EZ credit" crap the big credit card companies, pay day loan, and car title loan places?

I get the offers in the mail, and burn them in the fire pit. Every time I go to Target I can't check out without someone asking if I want to put that on my Target card. Oh, don't have one? You could save %10 by opening one today.

What they don't tell you is that the interest rate is based on your credit score. If you don't have a lot of credit history because you pay for things in cash, you don't have a good credit score and they charge up to 20% interest.
