Ducking back then forward, I grabbed the back of his left arm in my left hand and the back of his head in my right. One head into the table later, he was again on the ground, bleeding from the nose. That was two and the Sheriff's Department was arriving out front.

As the Deputy was entering the diner, he pushed himself up, knife still in hand and raised his arm slightly. As the toe of my boot met his left eye, he rolled backwards unconscious. That was three. The Deputy gave my wife a quick hairy eyeball and she placed her pistol back in her purse.
Yeah, now we have assault with a deadly weapon and witness tampering when he gets out of the hospital.

The Deputy asked what the hell was going on. I told him just a minute, then went over to my wife, took her in my arms and kissed her so hard her toes curled.

She replied "Just one?"
I replied "I can think of more."
The Deputy shouted "Get a dam room you two, now what the hell happened?"
