I'm not sure why someone would bother to fake that, but I think what you're referring to is the grainy/faded background compared to the foreground; assuming a roughly constant level of atmospheric moisture and other shit, "weathering" of an image is nearly exponential with distance, so if the furthest foreground object is 10-20 m away, then the valley is a couple klicks, I'd expect a fairly sharp dividing line...

It would take some fairly sophisticated PhotoShop work to fake it, but what strikes me is that while her ass is in perfect sharp focus, the weeds in the same plane should be equally sharp, but they don't seem to be.
