1957 Series 11 Part 1
End of 1957. As I have said before the numbering simply reflects what I have. It would be nice if anybody had pictures from the "gaps" but I suspect they are lost for good. Looking back on these I see I collected them in 2001/2. Still a fair number to go for the dedicated who like these looks back over fifty years.

On we go
9-12 of these pics looks like the Atlantic coast of France, the sand dunes behind the long flat beach is typical of that area. Since the originals are from Scandinavia does anyone know if there are dunes like this in that part of Europe?

Locations for my fifties stuff
Just to go on from my comment in the last post with pictures, I am interested in where these 1950's pictures were taken.
The big flat beaches with sand dunes behind are typical of the Cote d'Argent, the Atlantic coast of France. Others look like the Mediterranean beaches of France, I am pretty certain that the Isle du Levant is represented in quite a few. The gorge with the river and canoes is, I think, in the Ardeche region of France but it could be the Dordogne, any thoughts? The mountainous pictures are probably Germany/Austria but could be Norway. I would imagine that the more bucolic pictures may be Sweden or Denmark.
