I know this might be a dumb question (even though i have been brought up to believe otherwise), is it a rite of passage, so to speak that the bride get photographed in her underwear before a wedding, like when she is dressing as part of the documentation.
I havent seen a wedding album with these photos, naturally, but i am just a curious kind of guy about that sort of thing.
Sorry there is no post of pic....

It apparantly has become quite the rage. Most of the pics you see on this web site are amateur, sometimes paifully so. But professional photographers are increasingly hired to photograph the preparation in the bridal boudoir. There was an article in the Wall Street Journal several years ago with several accompanying photographs. Amateur or professional, let's enjoy them all.

My parents owned a portrait photography studio when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s. It seemed that every wedding album I processed had at least one bride prepping in underwear shot. Later I would get extra money as a free lance wedding photographer while in college. This was still a very common shot and one you asked about when planning the shoot. The degree of modesty varied greatly and I got more than a couple of shots that went into a "special" album
