Disappointing
Is it just that I'm a cranky, old sod, or have these calenders becoming duller and duller over the years? Nobody really shows anything anymore. Sure there is nudity and some lovely bodies, but all we seem to see is cleavage, bums (sometimes) and hands covering pussys. The earlier calenders that started this craze showed off so much more and were, to my mind, more daring and whole lot sexier. As a voyeuristic tool calenders have become, in my opinion, rather disappointing.

I don't think these calendars have ever been particularly explicit or could be expected to be given that the models are all amateurs and they are intended for sale to friends, neighbours and family. Additionally the charities associated with them would probably not be comfortable with anything that could be deemed to be pornographic.
I believe that the attraction of these calendars is that we have ordinary women photographed in ways that are not ordinary. Here are a few more - including one of the original Calendar Girls as a reminder of where it all started.
