In a previous comment I said something about Sheila not being a ravishing, flashing beauty (which I don't think was well received) but pages & pages of pictures of her since then have just made me all the more certain that SHE has a sexuality & sexiness that is utterly and totally WONDERFUL, but might not be obvious at first glance. It really was colder and wetter down there in Texas than up here in Seattle. We were right on the weather front that was dumping snow and ice from Dallas east and making the whole southeast is a mess. The snow and ice were just north of where we were about 200 miles or so. The morning were very cold then it would warm up to the mid 40's to low 50's gray over and rain or mist all day with LOTS of winds cold biting winds.. Typically this time of year Galveston is in the 70's and sunny that's why we went.

Houston's traffic is just terrible makes Seattle look like the junior league. 8, 10 & 12 lanes with toll roads too if you want to use them. There all going like hell cutting in and out and red lights well there just a suggestion down there. No wonder they have the 100 plus pile ups. Galveston's traffic was a bit better but the red lights mean little and stop only a few till traffic is moving across.

If it turns red just floor it and run right though. Yellow what's that but a note to floor it. We only saw one THP a few more city cops but not one working traffic.

Other than big and flat Texas the people we met were most all very friendly and LOTS of big people. Sheila and I would order one breakfast and both share that and most often not finish it either. If your a woman and your under 200 Lbs your slim down there. Men 300+Lbs is the norm and plumber butt cracks are the in thing with the men.

All you need is a big hat, beer, boots and jeans and your in but again I have to say everyone was nice to us ( other than on the road) there it's for one and go for it. We stood out everywhere we went. Sheila was asked a number of time "where you all from".

It just like I recalled it from 50 years ago when I was stationed there. To hot to flat and to cold. For the most part nice people but it not my kind of country, give me rain mountains and less people. BUT the food was great, barbeque wonderful and Galveston was very scenic to. Take a special kind to live with the threat of hurricane's but they do and do well. I post more pictures in the near future. Thanks for all the leads for food and sites to see you all were very helpful. Come up to the NW so we can show you our part of the country. Tom
