Re HIPAA regulations:

Here's the problem in the USA. It's not the staff, which cares about protecting your privacy, it's the visitors, who have made their own rules about visiting their friends or family members. They simply don't care, and in fact will violate rules to be with those they are visiting. Numbers of visitors, how they'll hang around the area of their own loved one, times they will stay, they don't care. If such people (perverted males) are interested in pretending to converse with the person they're visiting, only to secretly spy on other near the area, they'll achieve it.

The only violation I really know about, is a woman I see every year at a particular regional burning man event. She is a nurse who works in the pre-surgery area of a large hospital. This is about 20 rooms that have doors that are always open but their are curtains. The public does not enter here, as this area is where a patient stays while they have been tranked, and are not going to receive a general knock out in the traditional way, but the meds that leave someone loopy, before their procedure.

The nurse is responsible for many aspects of the patients, before they are wheeled into the surgery area. One of the things they do is ensure the patient is totally nude under their gowns, which is part of protocol, should something happen where the patient, in the middle of the procedure, should have to have a catheter.

This woman, and her male colleague, enjoy fully exposing the more attractive patients to the two of themselves, for their own kicks. The woman says she's into checking out the guy's cock, and her male friend wants to see what the woman's vagina looks like: shaves, intimate tattoo, how her lips look. (Her male colleague friend said that breasts are no fun to check out when the woman is flat on her back, and that if they had some time and wanted to be really wrongful, they would lift her up to see how her breasts hung. Flat on back breasts are boring to check out, he said.)

Listening to her did make me laugh about it all.
