My wife and I live nearby and go there regularly. I've taken pics of her many times (even had another beachgoer come take pics of us together). That being said I do not intentionally photograph others. I find it a little bit disrespectful.
Others feel, "Hey, you're in a public place, I have every right and you have no expectation etc..." Well, going to a c/o beach is not like going to Mardi Gras and flashing. The c/o beach is not exhibitionism (for most folks there) the way spring break, Fantasy Fest, Madi Gras activities are. I can only hope that if they do take pics, the show a little respect and cover faces. But that's just me.
