No, the nipple is comprised of multiple milk ducts, not just one central channel. Your milk ducts have the ability to reroute themselves if faced with an obstacle. Also women that have (or have had) their nipples pierced may even have a lower incidence of infections, irritation, or scar tissue from breastfeeding!
this being said of course DO NOT get pierced if you are currently nursing or think you may be pregnant! You want your piercings to be fully healed before breastfeeding and getting pierced while pregnant is never recommended.
I hope this was helpful for anyone who’s interested in getting their nipples pierced and if you have any more questions send them to me and I’ll address them in my 3-4 week update post.

We are a couple that is into ANR
My love for pierced nipples finally got my spouse to muster up enough courage a decade ago after a couple of quick shots on her birthday.
Long story short - she was lactating at that time and her piercings never healed completely even after almost a year and had to take them out because it was too painful. Plus the number of jet streams that came out of the nipple tip reduced drastically and her milk supply dropped.
Even now, whenever she hand expresses, milk gushes out from the side of the nips through the piercing holes.
