It was a combination of various events that evidently lead to its cancellation. Apparently a lot of the old fashioned nudists did not like the adult nature of the event. Strangely many nudist organizations are quite socially conservative and heavily push for nudism to be family oriented. Nudes a Poppin survived for so long because it brought the club plenty of money so they tolerated it. Covid finally gave them an excuse to cancel the event. Sad because nude pageants were a big deal in American nudism for decades. Nudes a Poppin was the last of its kind.
