Lush protest

[drsnobgrass]

Just catching up on this thread after just now seeing it. Thank you fango!

I remember when this was going on, I dunno why I didn’t think to search and see if people were talking about it! There’s a lush at a mall near me but sadly did not take part in the event. At least I think. I feel like it was mainly larger spots that did?

Hope they do it again next year!

I don't know how I missed this until Fango's round-up either, this is amazing.
However, all the links on zippyshare have expired. Anyone feel like putting up the big zip file?
I don't think I'd be the only one who appreciates it.

Can't believe I had no idea about this for 10 years until Fango's post - thanks Fango! This is amazing. All the zippyshare video links are expired though. Anyone have a zip?

grear stuff! Did anyone see these, in the flesh as it were? was it done for a photoshoot, or did they stay naked for the day?

Not a photo shoot (other than whatever was photographed by the participants themselves for social media). It was a marketing stunt to promote Lush's eco-friendly lack of packaging for their products (i.e. the products are "naked", so the store workers are too). I don't think it was done for the whole day, probably several hours tops. I wish I had seen it in person (there were several stores in my area that participated last year, all pictured in the thread), but I would have just been the idiot standing there staring and drooling at the butts until I surely would have been asked to leave.

It's too bad this didn't become an annual event again, not just a special one-off thing done for the 10th anniversary of the original promotion (as I unfortunately suspected), but at least they did it once in the Instagram era, and it was awesome.

Lush opens packaging-free Naked shop in Manchester - and the staff went nude too

Lush has stripped away all the packaging in its Manchester shop - and its staff stripped off too to celebrate.

The cosmetics retailer relaunched its Market Street branch as a Naked shop today with a cheeky stunt that saw its employees wear nothing but aprons.
