Pennywiseguy2 got married and that is probably why he is not poking around here that much these days...
Personally, I'd love to have a comprehensive hippie thread that is labeled as such and includes all these Russian festival pics. My only issue again is that this one is in the hardcore section, an anomoly as far as I'm concerned, but necessary unless some of the dicier stuff gets removed. This really is the ultimate hippie thread at OCC right now, though, but unless someone want's to take the time to post a "Hippies and dreadlocks light" (or "soft") version in the exhibitionist forum (where everything gets pretty much duplicated minus the hardcore stuff, all this material is going to have to stay here. Below is a series of pics that go together as a set because they were all taken at the same Russian hippie event. Trouble is, I don't know the name of the event. It takes place in the woods, not out in the open. Some of these pics have been posted in this thread and also in the Russian Way of Life thread. I don't know exactly which ones. This is all the pics I have in the set.
In the Russian Way of Life thread, we did do some festival locating here and there which included posting some sat images and maps. What I'd like to be able to do is look at a pic and tell from the trees, etc which festival it is. Not totally out of the question. Khan Altay is held in open, more arid country way east of Moscow. A Space of Joy is held down on the Crimean Penninsula. Ethnolife was closer to Moscow, maybe SW of it. Or maybe I'm thinking of Empty Hills there. Ivan Kupula is said to be held in several locations spread out over four countries. Most of the pics I've seen were taken at night though which is not much help. Finally, my pics from art-labirint show drier vegetation, but not as dry as Khan Altay. But like I said, this set below - I don't know the name or location. Klondike

And then there is this lone pic which I've had for a long time. I do not know if there are any more to this, but Nakedhippie did post a pic the other day bearing a remote resemblance to it, location wise. Very remote...

and finally, the first pic below bears the name of a festival which I take as "пятихатка". This pic was posted by 69|89 in the RWOL (Russian way of life) thread. Punching that word into Google returned pics 2-7 below which have not been posted anywhere at OCC.
