Hi all, I have a question. Do you know how to say "zipper is down" in other languages? I know in French it is "Braguette est ouverte", in Spanish "Bragueta esta abierta" and in German "Hosenstall ist offen". Do you know how to say it in other languages?

It has been a while since anyone has posted on this thread. So, I am going to post two stories from my past this time. Enjoy.

I was shopping in Walmart over in the pharmacy area when I noticed a nice-looking Hispanic woman with curly black hair and nice curvy body and (C-cup sized) chest with her pretty teenage daughter looking at vitamins. I immediately noticed that the zipper on the woman's tight-fitting blue jeans was open (with about two inches high by about one inch wide worth of green underwear showing). I found myself thinking that her teenage daughter should have warned her about her open zipper.

I decided that I would tell her if I could get her alone for a moment. I patiently "shopped" nearby while trying to stay out of their sight enjoying some more views of her panties when I could while I waited for a moment where she was out of hearing of others. Finally, the daughter moved to the opposite end of the aisle and no one else was nearby.

I went ahead and walked up to the woman and quietly told her about her open zipper. She said "thanks" and I then walked around the corner to the next aisle. Once there I heard the mom call her daughter over and say, "Why didn't you tell me that my zipper was open?'. I laughed on the inside at that

I remember a waitress that use to work at a local restaurant. She was a young (early 20s), short (probably just over 5 feet tall), petite, small chested (definitely an A-cup), pretty Hispanic woman with long black hair that almost reached her waist. Her work uniform was a white button up shirt with a black skirt that has a long silver colored zipper in the back.

On a few occasions the zipper in the back of her black skirt would be partially open with about a half inch-wide by one-inch-long opening that showed her tucked in white shirt. I’m guessing that she had not previously pulled it up all the way because her skirt zipper would not open further. Still, it was a little something extra to enjoy with the meal (especially if I was lucky enough to get her as my waitress for the meal so I could enjoy several close-up views).

On the occasion that led to this story the restaurant was nearly empty. This was just before things started getting shut down at the start of the pandemic. She was not my waitress that day, but she was waiting on another table with a couple and two little girls about 15 feet from me (at that point the closest customers to me). While I dined, I noticed that the zipper on her skirt, which had started a bit open as sometimes would occur, was slowly going down. Seeing a woman’s zipper slowly unzip itself while she is unaware of it is a huge turn on. Hence, I decided to watch and see what would happen.

By the time I was a little over half-way thru my lunch her skirt zipper had slowly slid down over half-way and the zipper opening was definitely wider than ever before (still just her white tucked in shirt showing to my surprise). You might have thought that at one of her customers, such as the family of four, or perhaps her coworkers or female manager (who was out there keeping tabs on everything) would have let her know. I knew her well enough to know that she was a kind-hearted person and was friends with some of her coworkers. But for whatever reasons no one said anything to her about her opening zipper.

By the time I was nearing the end of my meal, her zipper had unzipped itself to be two-thirds way down and showed no sign of stopping there. I was certainly enjoying the view more and more, but I could not stay all day. Since I was getting ready to leave soon and given that no one else had told her she could end up showing off her panties (depending on how long that tucked in shirt really was) for who knows how long. I didn’t want to leave her in that position, and it would certainly turn me on more to tell her, so I decided to let her know the next time she walked past my table. She had already walked past my table three times during my meal, and I had enjoyed the close-up views. However, she didn’t walk past my table again. So, I decided to go to the bathroom and see if I could catch her on the way there or back to my table, but my timing was off, and I missed her.

Once my bill was paid, I decided to time my leaving the restaurant to catch her heading towards the kitchen since she would be alone and not needing to deliver something to a table. However, my timing was a bit off again, so she was a bit too far ahead to catch up to (running up to her would have drawn too much attention in my opinion). However, I got a good look at her open skirt zipper as she entered the kitchen. Now the zipper was most of the way down. The zipper was spread open over 2 1/2 inches wide near the top. Also, the bottom inch worth of her open zipper was showing her green cotton panties below the bottom of her tucked in shirt.

I was feeling so bad for her that I decided to risk drawing attention. So instead of leaving I paused by a table pretending to look at my phone (this lasted almost a minute). Thankfully (and to my surprise) the place was so empty that no one paid any attention to me. As she came out of the kitchen (this time without a food order on a trey), I got her attention and told her, "Excuse me, the zipper on the back of your skirt is slowly coming open". She said, "Oh ok thank you" (her voice sounded surprised but genuinely grateful).

I definitely enjoyed that lunch, both for the view and for telling her. Unfortunately, she quit during the pandemic and no longer works there (I definitely miss seeing her in that skirt).

I got the impression that latin american girls/women tend to have their zipper open quite a lot of times compared to girls/women from other countries hehe Maybe it's due to them wearing tight pants/trousers/jeans most of the time and/or thinking about/being busy with other things and forgetting to zip up hehe And maybe some naughty ones do it on purpose hehehe
Anyone of you got the same impression about/experience with latin girls/women?

I like to imagine it's part of a clandestine women's liberation group.. after all in southern Mexico you have the Zapatista Army of National Liberation.. so why not a ladies version called the Zippertistas? I'd love to attend one of their meetings...

Thank you for that... There are lots of ways of opening zippers in the German language... in addition to your version, other words for zipper include Reißverschluss, Reissverschluss and Zippverschluss. On the subject of linguistics, I was in Tenerife last week, and I went to a weekly language exchange evening in the local bar to meet a charming lady friend. Her zipper was open.. this turned out to be an accident, but it got me thinking.. learning a language is much more memorable when practised in real life situations.. we could organise an embarrassment party, where the dress theme is to turn up fully clothed but with underwear on display... and we could learn all about multicultural wardrobe malfunctions...

Thank you for that... Skirt zippers are often more ogle-friendly. Usually, with trousers / pants, the opening (which I found out was called a placket when I did some tailoring) is guarded against wardrobe malfunctions by a fabric facing. I don't know if there is a name for this flap of material, but skirts tend to have much narrower ones or even none at all, potentially leaving everything on view underneath an open zipper. I had two or three female friends who would generously leave their skirts undone for me, and when the zipper is on the side or the back you can see the whole thing opening and closing as they walk along..

Ladies' jeans, on the other hand, usually have shorter zippers with a wide back cover which, combined with the stiffness of denim, means we have to be quite lucky to get a glimpse of panties. Sometimes there's a good view available when the jeans are worn really tight, but I'm still quite a fan of an unzipped skirt.. The only way pants can beat this is when they have a really long zipper. This used to be more common back in the sixties.. this was the first time that large numbers of women were beginning to wear pants, and I guess that, because this was new, the designs at the time simply resembled the arrangement for men.

Although zippers on jeans gradually became shorter, they often remained longer with smart ladies' pants. I remember talking to a good friend of mine and admiring her nice long zipper, wondering what it would look like if it were undone. Before we went back to our meeting she made a last minute visit to the toilet and turned up with her zipper open. I wondered if in some way I had developed tantric powers with zippers...
