Lack of toplessness on beaches

After another beach holiday, I can report no major changes to toplessness since last year. My estimate is still:

Nude beaches 50% nude 25% topless 25% clothed
Beaches away from built up areas 30-40% topless
Busy beaches in built up areas 10-20%
Pool 0%

A few things I did note (slightly off topic sorry):
- The thong trend continues, I observed higher than the previous poster (and previous years) and would go 50% thong (all ages) and 80% thong (younger ages). This includes the very cheeky style where the fabric rides up (around half of total). Whilst most were well covered at the front, I did observe more with reduced coverage which was great to see. I saw several where it was obvious the girl was fully shaved, a few shaving rashes and even one where she had clearly not shaved for a few days. In this example it was a group of early 20's girls at the waterpark and I couldn't help but wonder if it was the first time she had worn it and didn't realise how exposed she would be.
- Water park - best place to see thongs and skimpy bikinis due to the set up (stairs, queues, exiting slides etc.) and the type of girls that visit
- Nude beach - for the first time, zero pubic hair observed

La Ferreira beach in Portugal. 30-40% young topless. Some nude in the later afternoon. Some cock display guys. Couldn’t persuade the wife to remove her bikini…

Report from crete June 2024:

We stayed in a nice 5 star resort in south crete, one of a few hotels there.
At the hotel beach there were aproximately 80 sunbeds at the beach and 40 near the pool right behind the beach. At peak hours they were all taken.
Hotel had a mixed crowd, quite a lot of young attractive couples.

During the whole week 2 women were persistently topless: my wife and another young women. She was in her 30s, had small boobs with big dark nipples.
Three other young woman were sometimes topless. Absolutely no toplessness at the pool.

Some (maybe 6 per day) untied their bikini top while lying on their stomach but they all tried their best not to expose their boobs when changing position.

Although my wife was one of a few topless woman nobody really cared. Waiters would come to the sunbeds on the beach and my wife ordered her drinks and food while she was topless, they didn't say anything.

One day we went to a beach by car, it was on a weekend and manly locals were at the beach. 0% toplessness

So today I was at Nissi beach in Cyprus so thought I'd share my observations. Back in the day, Missing was apparently a major beach for topless sunbathing. Today, I saw only ten girls.
The furst and most confident was a lad probably late 30s, early 40s. I say confident because not only was she topless sunbathing but she remained topless whem she went into the sea. That's something you seem to see less and less. Next was a young lady, early 20s. She had 2 friends on sunbeds about 10 along from us and she was on a towel on the sand. At first she just undid her bikini top while laying face down but after a few minutes she rolled over. Only stayed topless for about 5/10 minutes before replacing her bikini and going for a swim after that, she stayed covered. Then there were 3 girls together face down, bikinis undone when the turned over, 2 kept their tops on and 1, who looked to have had a boob job stayed covered up. The. Another 2 girls appeared, 1 of which confidently went topless.
Then there was the last group. And what happened to them probably explains a lot of what's discussed here. 6 young girls, probably 18/19 walked along the beach in front of me. All very attractive, great bodies etc. They sat down on towels on the sand about 50 metres from where I was sat and went in the sea. String bikinis, perfect bodies. Quick swim, out they came, sunbathed, bikini tops on. After about 45 mins or so I was atvthe waters edge, close tk where they were with a perfect view of them. One of them, face down, undid her bikini straps and removed her top. This caught my attention. Next the girl nextvto her, sitting up tool her top off and shortly after, all 6 of them were topless. A glorious site. This is where it all changed...
I'd gone back to sit with my wife who them asked me to get some drinks. The walk to the bar took me right past them. All 6 girls, on their backs topless. Beautiful. I carried on to the bar and came back about 5 mins later. By now, 1 was still topless facing up, 1 had put her bikini back on amd 4 were face down
However, the most obvious change was how many people were suddenly sat near them. Mainly blokes of all ages. Surrounding them. I sat down and about 5 or 10 minutes later, I noticed all 6 had stood up and were pulling on sun dresses and shorts. With that, they left the beach. I can only assume put off by the obvious staring and intrusion. Probably a few of the lads subtly using cameras
Quite sad really but I guess that's how it is

This is exactly why my girlfriend is hesitant to get topless on beaches during the day. She doesn't want creeps gathering around her and harassing/taking pics of her. I wish I got to be an adult before smartphones were popular so I could experience the toplessness back then.

Try a nude beach instead of a topless one.
Less gawkers and creeps ... less people in general ... and getting an all over tan ... nothing but benefits.

Pretty much the same sentiment for nude beaches. We don't live near "official" nude beaches so the ones that are nudity accepted are usually pretty crowded. I'm hoping if we go on vacation to a country where nude beaches are normal then she'd be willing to. And of course I'd love the benefits, people seeing her naked without being creepy and her getting tan all over, sounds great.

Currently in Mallorca and hardly any topless women.
I expected a small percentage
(Maybe 10%) but it's far less.

Recently on holiday in Torrevieja I’d say 10% or less topless on the beach. Shame.

Didn’t bother my wife she was topless everyday and even at the pool where no one else was, she even swam and walked around without her top. No one was bothered by it.

I do think if people see others doing it they’re likely to follow suit- a few other women at the beach near us decided to take their tops off after we sat near them.
