My wife posed nude also, a few times for artists in their studio. A few times for art classes, the first time she did it was because the model got sick at the last minute. She had set up the class, which was all ladies except for a visiting artist.

Her mother had hired an artist to do portraits of all of her children, while she was posing she really likes his style and asked him if he would do a nude of her as a present to me. That was her present to me for my fortieth birthday. We hung it in our bedroom, so several people besides me saw it. Unfortunately we lost a lot of memorabilia in the 2016 flood.

Incredible story. More than low key, I’d say.

I once had the pleasure of watching my wife pose in the nude at a photographic studio. She looked like a million dollars in make up. She did wear shoes most of the time, but was otherwise completely naked.

There were only women present while I was there. However, I didn’t stay for the whole session. During my absence, a couple of men came into the studio and saw my wife striking a full-frontal standing pose under the bright lights.

When my wife told me about the men later, she said I would have been proud of her for carrying on regardless.

The class was mixed, from memory on average 3 ladies and 5 men was pretty typical. Some weeks the numbers might change in that there might be only 6 one week and 9 the next. One fellow particulary liked the pose bending with the stick as he specifically asked for it when it came time for the class to choose. Samantha said it was cheeky and very revealing and everyone liked it, she said it was 'fun' to do ans she knew what he could see. That was a long pose,15 minutes. As far as seeing in, it was more than likely given the set up of the space, but other than cars on the street she didn't see anyone. She had accepted it anyway as part of the process and wasn't phased. Later on, she did model in a few other places as she enjoyed it, some of those had busier locations and occassionally a non participant could see her. I'll write about that another time but it included a seesion at an art school and a few others in co use facilities. Privacy is always respected but often these type of sessions are run in multi function spaces.

When we arrived at the studio for my wife’s photo session, it appeared that anyone in the car park would be able to see straight in through the ground floor windows.

I pointed that out to my wife, but she said that she didn’t care who saw her posing nude. She had presumed that the studio would be a busy place of work and was already resigned to having lots of people see her naked. All she was bothered about was making a good job of it.

It turned out that there were hidden window blinds so it was more private than we’d thought at first.

Apart that is from having two men walk while she was standing naked with her arms above her head.

She later described that as “helping to break the ice” because nothing worse could happen from then on.

My wife also described posing nude as being exciting and exhilarating. Lots of fun too, I think as she said that both her and the lady photographer fell about laughing as soon as the two guys left.

Being in heels keeps it classy 👍

My wife in only heels in photoshoots are some of the hottest shots I have. One I painted very badly…

The photographic set was part of some corporate design studios. We knew there’d be lots of people working there, but had no idea if she’d have complete privacy on the set. I had been in that kind of place before where it was all open plan. My wife had come prepared for any eventuality. It turned out that the staff were generous and we had exclusive use of a self contained photographic suite. Except that is for the two men who “accidentally” blundered in while she was posing.

Thank you. It really isn’t. But this one is better, I think. (The one in heels.) It’s 100cm x 40, (that’s 40” x 16”) and hangs on my wall. I’m not sure how many family members have seen it now. Only one has asked who it is.

The other two are also on my wall. No-one has asked about these either. It gives me a little thrill that people see them.

We had a print of a nude line drawing by Gustav Klimpt on our dining room wall.

A lady visitor of advanced years once asked my wife if she'd posed for it herself. When my wife said that she hadn't been the model, the lady replied "Oh! It's just I know you like doing that sort of thing."
