[First Time] Going to a LS club soon. What should we expect?

My girl and I will be going to a swingers club in a couple of weeks. We've looked into them, the layouts and watched videos on a couple of porn sites so we have a general feel for what to expect but.. what should we really expect? The place we are going to has a DJ and bar (BYOB). There are playrooms in the back. Seems that it might be mostly couples. They also allow single guys. Do people play on the dance floor and bar area or is that only allowed in the back? I like seeing her get attention but I'll definitely play with other woman if there is opportunity. Any advice on how not to look like newbies? Unless people like taking newbies under their wings, or between their legs lol!

Swing clubs vary greatly. We have been to ones where sitting, drinking and chatting were the major activities. Others where nothing but sex was going on, wall to wall.
Bring some wine, sit at the bar and observe. Get the vibe. Do what appeals to you.

I have written before about an ex gf and I enjoying swingers fun in and out of clubs. My experiences are purely UK based and we visited about 5/6 different establishments over our time together
The clubs do vary in design and guest expectations although we always took advantage of talking to the (usually a ) girl on reception to understand how each operated
One of the earliest was, for the individual rooms ( which varied from one to two or three big beds)...if the door was closed , do not just walk in, ...door half open was a signal you could watch ( and possibly get an invite) and door fully open meant access was open to all to join in.
My suggestions to you as first timers ( and presuming both of you are fully open to the concept and potential) are...,
Set any rules before you go,
Dress sexily but not outrageously ( helps get you into 'the mood')
Sit, have a drink or two and just watch how things go.
Even if you don't go any further, the experience will give you confidence and grounding for the next visit
Take it steady and enjoy...let us know how it goes.

Everyone was a newbie once. Just go, have fun, introduce yourself to people. It can sometimes be clicky as some people will only hang out with those they know. A few weeks back we went to a meet and greet here in FL with over 300 people in attendance (it was outside at a bar on the water). Nobody, that I know of, got COVID. Lots of skin being shown, etc. It was only our 2nd meet and greet despite being in the LS for over 6yrs now. We had fun and met a few nice couples.

I've watched a bunch of videos on xvideos. They were filmed at T****ze in FL or ATL and mostly showed the meat and potatoes of the night. Besides being the first time to a LS club, it will also be the first time going to a club that is BYOB. She usually drinks wine and mostly mixed drinks for me (I know, don't drink much). Can we take what is left in the bottles at the end of the night. There are open container laws but we should be fine with them in the trunk.

Handiwerker mentioned dressing sexy, that's easy for a woman. She's busty and I love seeing them displayed. I believe she'll be wearing a dress with a plunging neckline. Panties will be left in the car or at home. For myself, I'm going to wear a dress shirt with either dress pants or jeans. Pretty much what I wear for a normal night out.

We each made a list of things that we'd feel comfortable with each other doing then compared them. We're pretty much on the same page. We are each open to most activities.

Although it has been several years since my wife and I first visited an on premises club, I do recall that first evening we passed through those doors. A club north of Seattle, which has since closed down.

We had to call and make an appointment (was before the internet allowed for easier everything), as the owners of the club required all potential new members to attend. They provided a brief rundown of the rules, events and costs. Once they had gone through everything, we were given a tour of the entire facility before any of the guests arrived. Sure made things easier, knowing what was allowed and what was not.

They would provide a buffet style meal, water and soft drinks available, byob for any adult beverages, and entertainment. Tables were set up where you had an opportunity to meet new folks, enjoy your meal and enjoy a cold beverage of choice before the entertainment began. I do recall that music was always part of the schedule, but do think that an occasional comedian was brought in.

Playing was strictly forbidden in the area where meals were consumed and the dancing occurred. Pretty sure that there was some occasional groping and grinding, but for the most part that was reserved for the play areas.

Couples accounted for the vast majority of the guests. Single males were restricted to 1 per 10 couples. Single females were allowed in without restriction, although they were few and far between.

Back in the play area, there was a common area where all were allowed. Adjacent to that was an outdoor hot tub one way, open play room to the side and a video room another. Single males were allowed free access to this area on the main level. Up the stairs was reserved for couples, with several themed rooms available to play in. Some were open to all and any that seek access, some were for a single couple or select group to enter.

We found that during the course of the evening, we would run across many different personalities throughout the facility. Some folks that were a great conversation during dinner, enjoyed dancing but had no interest in swapping partners. Some that preferred to simply watch others, and enjoy their partner. While most couples (singles as well) were there for the sex, that wasn't the case for everyone.

Please don't expect that you will be seeing nothing but hard bodies banging wall to wall. What you will find is everyday next door neighbor type folks there to enjoy the pleasures that the naked flesh can provide. You will meet people that you absolutely enjoy hanging out with, and some that don't quite fit your taste. Go with an open mind, and enjoy your visit. It can and will be a phenomenal experience if you go in with no expectations and plenty of trust between you and your partner. Let loose and have fun, realizing that both you and your partner are there for the same thing.

Although I am not one that posts heavy on this site, this particular response I posted did require approval before it was published. I do not remember that happening before. Could be the mods are attempting to control the amount of junk postings that was occurring for a while.

I can tell you that a very few of my responses were taken down after they were published in the past. Must have hit a nerve with someone.
