PSA: Don't be a lurker!

Just a comment but something has to be said...

It is IMPORTANT to show some support and appreciation for the people that are contributing to the forum! They are the lifeblood that keeps the forum going. It takes two seconds to click "Thanks"!

It's discouraging for someone to spend time putting together a video or a compilation, only to be met with crickets and dead silence. Then later on the vid is sitting at 100's of views, and zero comments and zero likes. Then even later you see someone grabbed the content and reposted it on another forum or on Youtube.

We've had some excellent members complain about this same problem and eventually fall by the wayside. I am guilty of this myself...I haven't been posting as much as I used to. Lurkers are killing some of the fun for me.

I agree, my thinking is that:
If a submission appeals to me & I click on it for a more closer look, it deserves a thank you.
If multiple photos appeals to me, although not clicked on any, also deserves a thanks.
If a submission that appears that considerable time was spent on preparation, also deserves a thanks.
And finally, a Comment is deserved, if the subject is of special quality, & it is more directed to the subject in appreciation, if she is or became aware of its posting, secondly to the poster, and finally if a posting meets any of the above & is one that requires a pause, second look or download..
