Just a H.U. to those of you in the rugged north west (what do I know!), Portland OR is hosting a whopping 3 nude events on the same day June 13th 2009 and an un-dressed rehearsal this weekend.

FIG LEIF NAKED RUN/RIDE
Forest Park, NW Leif Eriksen Drive (500 yards beyond the NW Thurman Street gate)
7:30pm - 8:30pm, Gathering begins 15 minutes prior to the start
This is the 4th Year of the Fig Leif 5K with the addition of Portland's first Off-Road Naked Bike Ride. Both events start at the paved section of NW Leif Erickson Road at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 13th. This is the area about 500 yards beyond the entry gate at the top of NW Thurman St hill.
This is the warm-up event for FREE!!!, but a donation of two canned food items is appreciated. This will be donated to a NW Portland soup kitchen.

Join us in the largest naked ride in North America, and quite possibly the world, as we gently protest against the fossil fuel dependence, and show the world a better, funner way. It is curious that a few weeks back the Pedalpalooza site ALSO mentioned a naked ride on June 27th, but now does not list it anymore. I wish I could find out what happened.

the fig leif run is a bit awkward to get to. There is a lot of walking required just to get to where it starts. To try and cover three rides in one day would be a bit much for me, but this un-dress rehersal might solve that little problem.

thanks, Pedro - it seems Portland does want to be the best anywhere. Oh, how I love competition, especially when its the NAKED variety!

A competition, what a great idea!! Maybe we keep our countries rides on seperate posts and count 'Thanks'!

Although Portland may be bigger, having at night is a major drawback for taking photos, I also think that (if the weather is kind) Brighton might just edge ahead on quality.....these two 19 year olds have just signed up to ride!

In my opinion DC is not really a Naked bike ride, because there (along with a few others) they arrest anyone 'fully' nude.

I totally agree with the above sentiment, however getting most OCC members away from their PC's (to get some WNBR original shots) seems virtually impossible, riding a bike naked I think is a step too far! From past experience, there is no better way to make a valid protest and 'bond' (in a nice way) with some very naked female strangers.

Hey, would you happen to know if St. Louis arrests for full nudity? I'm thinking about riding, and that's the closest one to where I live. According to the site, it's a bit later in the summer than most of the other cities.

I'm putting this here because this is a Pedro thread, and I'm sort of inviting him to inspect this video taken at last years Portland WNBR This is another one of those vids that documents the entire ride from start to finish. I actually didn't watch it all the way through to confirm that fact, but you have to forgive me, the vid is 12 minutes long.

I know, twelve minutes of blurry nudes is not that exciting, but what IS exciting is the simple fact that up to 5000 riders biked, making it probably the largest naked ride in history. So in my quest for bragging rights over Pedro and his stupendous UK rides, I present to him this vid as proof that Portland (With a population a tenth of London's) can put more nudes on bikes at one time than any other city. Now had London's ride been held at night too.....well......we can talk about that..... Daylight does tend to inhibit a few.....
