Default Question about photo theft

Hi admins, i have a question

I often see that you delete photos because they are watermarked.

What is the difference between a stolen watermarked photo and a "normal" stolen one, regarding that this boards content is mostly stolen photos from other internet sites?

Do you have to remove watermarked photos by law so that you board will not get deleted or is there another reason?

It was the rule put in place by the site Admin years ago. "No watermarks"
We take watermarks to mean any web address or logo printed on the photo, also if the filename contains a web address, it's the same.
Exceptions have been made if the poster has used his own watermark or logo.
We do delete "normal" stolen ones if we can see that they are edited or cropped, but they're harder to find.
If they don't have a watermark, it is assumed they are in the public domain and are ok to post. Of course if the original owner comes along and asks for their picture(s) to be removed, then we'll do that too.
Watermarked photos are posted all over the internet. Most are fine to be reposted, they just want you to know where they came from.
In this day and age, you can't realistically put a picture on the internet and not expect it to be looked at, downloaded and shared by someone.
If you don't want it taken, don't post it.

If Dude comes across a thread in a forum somewhere that has great pictures, how can Dude download all the photos from that thread at the same time instead of doing it one at a time?
There are programs that allow you to do that. I always find Bulk Image Downloader will do the job quite well.
I believe there are others as well.
