I guess I was unclear. I'm not having trouble with the zip file, I'm having problems with the original. Again any help would be appreciated.

Don't know ... plays fine in plain old free Real Player for me.

Try
On your PC - VLC Media Player it should be able to convert to mp4. Other smaller players likely do as well. Free
Online - freeconvert.com perhaps?

Either way may cost some quality but better than blank screen

VLC is a handy player. It's pretty popular, many members here will likely have it. Has some really useful features like allowing >100% volume, capture from PC or steam,conversion, snapshots, frame x frame, etc.
Never used freeconvert.com.
