Hi there. I'm pretty new at all this so if my question sounds dumb, forgive me. I was wondering how I can take a video of mine that has a file size of say, 20 MB and shrink it down to 10 MB. Any pointers on what programs folks here use or any other methods are appreciated. Thank you!!

The easiest way to do it is to run your video through Windows Movie Maker and convert it into a WMV file. Of course, it all depends on your file type. If it's an AVI, I would suggest downloading a program called VirtualDub and compressing your file with the DIVX or XVID codecs. If it's an MPG, file size can be lessened by trimming it down, removing the sound, or converting it to another file type. But, the simplest way to reduce file size is by turning it into a WMV.
If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. (We really want to see your video!) Fango |
