A friend of mine bought a place in a newly completed townhouse. These new townhouses all have something in common: a small footprint but three floors. The hallways are narrow, and so are the stairs. After visiting their place once, I started to kind of like that design.

The layout is like this: right after you walk through the front door, the stairs go straight up to the second floor. The first floor only has a guest room and the garage. Two from this weekend:

1) There is a sports club type place that has brunch on Sundays. There is a walking trail around the city lake that it's on. We normally walk a different part of the trail, but on Sunday we walked the part by the sports club cafe because of the shade.
