It's too bad, that was a great personal experience he shared. Glad I had the chance to read it.

A few years back I started sharing some adventures within a thread I started myself, then I would add other experiences to threads started by others when it fit the theme. One day I discovered one of the experiences I shared had vanished when an account was deleted by the user. It appears that a thread is completely deleted (the entire thread including all subsequent posts within made by others) when the originator of the thread deletes their account and requests all posts be removed.

I spent an hour typing it up, added it to a thread, and it was gone forever a few weeks later. Live and learn I suppose. I get it - and would not change how it works, but knowing this I have changed the way I post. Leave it in my own thread and provide a link when the experience fits a thread.
