I doubt bare boobs will be a common as bare butts are in the U.S. today. I could see more adult only pools allowing topless making a comeback though. It would be nice to see topless return in the Dominican Republic and Caribbean. Ten years ago there were always a few ladies with their boobs out. It was not like it was in 2000, but still there. Last few years it is very rare. On the other hand, crop tops, tops with under-boob, and deeps V cuts especially in swim suits sure are flirting a lot more with ladies breasts on teasing display. I think to an extent it is a matter of time before the nipple making an appears starts to return.

I am 100% a boob man. So the current state of affairs is very upsetting to me. I went abroad twice this summer and I've seen more tits out in my neighbours garden (she has a habit of walking round with them on show) than I did on a med beach this year. I really hope you are right about the novelty of posting photos on line wears off and women start to whip their baps out on hols in the near future

Alright, maybe the trend is not terrible everywhere, and one only has to know where to look.

I became acquainted with a Spanish woman, maybe early 40s, who works in a biotech company in the area. As we were talking about Mediterranean beaches some days ago, she told me that a few years back she went to a week-long event that was organized in the late summer on the Greek island of Spetses. I've never been there, so I asked her how it was. She said it was a long trip to reach it, and it was crowded and expensive, though the beaches were very nice, so she found every moment to skip the boring stuff and go to the beach. Apparently, she was there with a (woman) colleague of hers, with whom they are friends, and they were together most of the time. I told her it must have been nice, but I don't like crowded beaches, and she said that the main ones were all full of people, but the two of them took a long walk and discovered a beautiful secluded cove a few kilometres from the main town of the island, which she liked because she could be topless without random guys ogling her. Our conversation wasn't at all sexual, so I just commented something general along the lines of "oh, nice", and she said yes it was, and she was all the more surprised as her friend even stripped completely and was totally nude when they were there, which shocked her because her friend is normally incredibly shy.

I have no idea about her friend, but she is kinda cute and her tits look quite big, and I would have loved to see them without any clothes on. Of course I didn't say anything of the sort, nor made any jokes or innuendos. Anyway, I have to check out this Greek island. Or maybe, toplessness (and nudity) are now simply on beaches that are more out of the way and not in the middle of crowded touristic areas.

I've just come back from Crete (early season so mostly older folks 40+) absolutely no toplessness at all. very strange

Yeah. The Dominican Republic was nearly the same. Less toplessness today than fiv or six years ago, and significantly less than a decade ago. Bare or near bare asses were really common almost the rule. Bare titties not so much.

Been there a long time ago.

I remember a nice beach called Vai, at the easternmost end of the island. Very crowded, no full nudity, but almost every single woman was topless. Those who weren't were the rare exception.

At the time, I rented a car and just wandered around looking for nice spots. Some were crowded; the more secluded ones had just a few people at any given time. Same rule of thumb: practically every single woman was topless.

The only full nudity I remember was from a young German girl on one of these secluded beaches. I was already there, she arrived with two friends, a man and a woman. They immediately removed their clothes. The guy was in swimming trunks, the other girl was topless and the one I mentioned stripped completely. I know they were German because they were speaking German.

We were on the island of Mallorca this summer and visited a good number of beaches.
I would say that there were more topless women than I expected.
You could find a topless female on virtually every beach, but on more popular beaches the crowd would skew much younger and much fewer topless (maybe 1% or less). But the younger the crowd, the more thongs (maybe 30-40%).

With less populated/more rural beaches, the topless percentage was higher (maybe 5%), but also skewed a bit older and fewer children and fewer thongs.

On five or six beaches, we saw some nude folks. These beaches had even more topless (40-50% but kinda depends on what "area" of the beach you're at. And probably over 90% of the women were shaved.

Always hard to tell what's typical as I'm sure it depends of the time of year, temperature, day of the week and just who shows up that day. Definitely seemed like some topless women would encourage more topless women to join in.

I remember going to the Greek islands, not create, with my now wife back in 2005. Like you say the women with their tops on looked awkward and out of place. I really love to think how many of those young women in their 20s on that beach almost felt they had to get their tits out, maybe in front of male friends they'd gone on holiday with, and hadn't really thought about that before they booked the holiday. I really regret I was too dumb to book a mates holiday the next year, I would defiantly have seen some of our female friends' tits when they realised keeping their tops on was more awkward that let us see them.
I regret that fact, and the fact I never took any photos of my now wife topless with all the other tits in the background from then - I was such a dump 24 year old.
