Mixed nude European sauna experiences

I just read the W/Oslo homepage. They're clothing optional except on Tuesday. You may only use the swimwear they sell, a Speedo is $25. But you probably will rather be nude 🙂

Around here, men usually don't have an option. There is mixed saunas and women's saunas. There are very rarely men only saunas. And the one's I know have a rainbow sign in the logo. So relax, you won't stand out. There is always one or two older guys. And btw, there are usually one or two older ladies as well.

I was in the Sauna a few years back, when an older guy (70ish) started talking to a young woman (25-35ish). It was funny, because she used formal speak, adressing him with "Herr" and his family name and he was using first name. They cordially exchanged pleasantries and questions about the family of the woman. I though her former teacher.

She was totally relaxed, not covering anything when talking to him. He was laying on his back looking up towards her, sitting on a higher bench, leaning forward when talking to him.

PS: I loved her wellformed, realtively large/firm breasts.

Ha! I'll both agree and disagree. If you want to go, then go. You'll be fine and won't be treated poorly so long as you are polite and respectful. That said, please know the reality: than ANY single male, regardless of age, fitness, or politeness will be seen as creepy by some percentage of female sauna goers. That percentage will vary by the aforementioned characteristics but it is inevitable IMO. So, know that you"ll never please everyone and just live your life. That said, I do think bringing a female friend has significant benefits. So whenever possible 5hat would be my recommendation. But that should not stop you either. Enjoy

I disagree here. I've been mostly solo to saunas and I've even had conversations there with women where they agree that it's practically impossible to find company to join sauna as a man. You are either a creep who wants to take a girl to a sauna to see her naked, or a gay man who wants to look at his mates.
I've never felt that I've been seen as a creep, I also really don't go the sauna to creep on women.

Usually there are women only sauna rooms available in most wellness centers, public pools, gyms or wellness areas of hotels and there is usually one or two women only evening.
There is exactly one (1!) sauna I know that has a dedicated men only sauna cabin that is not afiliated with a rainbow flag, and I know of no sauna that has a men only evening.

When I am in the mixed are(the only area where men are allowed to go to) and I see single women or woman/woman friends I don't think they are here to expose themselves or they are here to look at dicks. I think they are here because the cabin is a bit larger and there is more cabins available in the mixed are than the solo women part of the wellness area.

How is The W these days? How much there was nudity on your visit?

I haven't been there since 2019, so it would be interesting to hear more. From what I remember, the nudity was surprisingly good back then - considering Norwegians aren't that used to mixed nude spas. I remember that quite many of the women didn't cover that much in saunas and in some pools, and that was a pleasant surprise back then. Of course many wore swimming suits as much as they could, but then many didn't seem to mind the nudity at all.

Heading to TE in M with my wife in the next couple of weeks.

This trip has been a long time coming. We first went here before we were married about 23 years ago. I knew we would be nude the wife did not. When the lady at the desk said it was nude I acted surprised and said oh well lets do it. My wife agreed. In the end she enjoyed it, even teasing in the pool to get a rise out of me. I loved it and said I'd love to do it regularly but I was told in no uncertain terms, this was a one off.

Over the years I've tried to get her to go again but she's refused. She is quite a prude. Went topless a couple of times on the beach when our kids where young but that’s it. Even when we go to a local clothing optional beach she will change under a towel when there are topless/ naked women all around us. She also refuses to go nude in our hot tub even though no one would be able to see. She was adamant she would not go nude anywhere in public.

Imagine my surprise that when my wife when to Munich with friends at the end of 2024 she ended up in TE (and that she actually told me she'd been). I got a message saying "can you check what's just gone on the credit card" me "TE - is that not the spa we went " her "haha might be" me "did you go nude" her "no we went to the kids side- honest" me "when are we going"

Turns out the wife and her friends had a couple of cocktails and then got nude.

This situation is already exciting.

1. I've been imagining the wife and her friends naked in TE. All three sat at the swim up bar with boobs on display for all. It must have been a great sight - all very different body types.

2. I cant wait for the trip for the obvious reasons (ogling lots of nude women of all ages) but also I'm looking forward to the following questions being answered:

How will my wife groom her pubic hair. My wife is not a regular groomer (once a month maybe) when she does she has smooth lips and a landing strip. I'm guessing she will have seen lots of shaved pussy whilst in TE. Will she groom before we go. Will she expose her lips or maybe more before going nude in public?

How confident will she be? Will she only drop the towel when needed or will she be more relaxed. I'm hoping to get good weather and in the hope I can get her to sunbathe nude in the gardens.

Once we've been, will she be more relaxed with public nudity? Will she go nude/ topless on the clothing optional beach we go to or even at least change in the open?

Disclaimer: This is just my experience, I am not saying it's like this every day or that people were wrong. I could have just been unfortunate that my gf and I went on the wrong day. I am not sure. Again, just sharing my experience.

Unfortunately, my trip to Z in A was not quite what I thought it would be. Went with my gf. We were there on a Friday afternoon till the evening and while I did see some beautiful women, it was honestly few and far between. The most disappointing part of the visit was the Male to Female Ratio. From my count it was 60% male and 40% male. And I think that is being generous. It was also not busy at all. Very slow and small crowd. Maybe I just got unlucky but it was quite the sausage fest. The quality was not quite what I thought it would be. Lots of covering up between baths as well, which was different from other dutch saunas I have frequented.

I also noticed is that anytime there was a beauty in one of the baths or saunas, multiple men (solo visitors) would go in right after them. There was a point I went into a sauna by myself. A beautiful girl came in, and then 5 men walked in after. Unsurprisingly (and understandably) the woman left. Even my gf who normally is comfortable nude told me that she noticed lots of staring. Makes me wonder if Z has gained a reputation for obvious creeps (not talking about those who are subtle and sneaky) thus leading to a decline in quality. The issue being that the people watchers were very obvious in the way they'd stare at turn their heads for any half decent looking woman.

The highlight would be a beautiful blond with an athletic build and medium size tits, no pubic hair. She was not shy and I got to see her go into the cold dip. Made her nipples hard which meant I needed to stay in water lol. I watched from a hot tub that my gf and I sat in. Another one would be a dark haired slim girl. Pale skin, perky breasts, and short. She was walking around with a French novel. She was probably around 20. Saw her enjoy the sauna with no towel and jump into the cold shower right after. Also got to shower next to two 20 somethings after my gf went to change. Two friends. Both around 5 foot 10, with athletic builds. One blond and one brunette. Not going to lie, seeing them turn and soap their bodies was exciting and stimulating. A good way to end my visit.

While Z was a let down for me, my next post will be about another Dutch sauna. Much better experience. Look out for that!

I'm pretty sure that there is a general decrease in genuine sauna going public during the warmer months, that includes the hotter talent.
However, that leaves a similar number of obvious creeps attending. Thereby the creeps are there at a higher ratio at least until the winter.
This higher creep ratio will drive down the desire for women to attend even further, creating a downwards spiral unfortunately.
