I think that's the issue for me. If a picture is upscaled and there are little imperfections, maybe a bit of text on a poster on a wall that is out of focus or comes out as garbled on the upscaled image, but the main focus of the image is unaffected then I have no issue with it. But when it starts to mess up peoples faces or bodies I find it distracts more than it enhances.

as a long term contributor to this thread I'd like to chime in on the upscale/ai issue, since this is a current and growing topic.

first, it is very well true that the AI can't give you anything real that wasn't there in the first place. those prudent student photos are a great example, as they were (unfortunately) heavily censored by the original publishers of the calendar and you can still see that is the case with the AI.

second, popular or not, loved by all, some or few, it is my suggestion that any similar images from now on ought to go in their own thread. there are other calendar threads for best slips and favorite calendar photo of all time, etc....an "upscaled calendar photo" thread would allow those who like the format to enjoy the photos there while keeping this thread for mostly new finds as it has generally been for nearly two decades.

Well you selected a very bad example.The vast majority I�ve seen, including the ones that started this aren�t distorted like that. Not even close.

I've gone through this whole thread (yes, really) in order to tag my existing calendar pics with where and when they came from. Here at the end are the remaining pictures I haven't identified, so hopefully these are new to the thread!

If anyone has info on what calendar any of these came from, please let me know.

I am fairly sure that the girl at the top of the photo top left is Lily Gardner so it might not be a charity calendar,
