So it would seem that Mod Winston has left the building. I know that he was an avid poster who was always careful to share only material new to OCC. I�m sure his content will be missed and OCC will be a little less original.

However, I appreciated him more as a moderator. We became �friends� after he gave me a two week, well deserved, timeout. Before that I thought him to be arrogant and quick on the trigger. Ultimately I realized that while my assessment was correct - he was also a really nice guy, cared a lot about OCC, and had a well-honed sense of humor. The mods here don�t get paid anything and trying to maintain some order must seem like herding cats at times.

Who knows if he�ll come back again - but for now this seemed like the best place to park a farewell.

He has had cancer and it recently returned so he had to move 300 miles to be closer to his doctors and is now focused on defeating it. Ditto. I sometimes found his moderation a bit heavy-handed, but I especially appreciated his efforts in the vintage polaroids and pics thread so that we weren't always seeing the same pics over, and over, and over again.
