My mpg's are about 10meg for 15 or so seconds. I can convert 38meg of mpg to 9 meg of wmv using pinnacle studio, but it is a hassle. Is there a good free batch or command line program that will do the convert for me?
I will also consider converting to avi if I can cut the size without losing quality. And there is a FREE program to batch convert it. Thanks |

How does Microsoft Movie Maker work? I know that you cen get Dr Divx if you look around on p2p networks, but if you dont want to do anything illegal, i am not sure of one.

I use WMM but it's not quick. It does convert mpgs to much smaller wmvs but you have to work through all of their scenes, etc.

Try this one. I have never been good with the DOS commands, but according to this web page, this one works.

thanks, I have that one and it works great for avi to wmv, but not mpg to wmv.
I also have one that goes from mpg to avi, but I was trying to save a step. Quote:
