This happened a couple of years ago, but this catch was a combination of the most exciting, fascinating, and also bizarre ones I've encountered. This middle-aged woman was walking down the sidewalk with two young women (perhaps her nieces or something similar). As I passed her on the sidewalk, I thought at first she had a white undershirt tucked into her pants. But then, when I looked closely at it, I noticed that right at the point where the white cotton fabric met her striped t-shirt, there was a just barely noticeable strip of an elastic waistband. It was then I realized that I wasn't looking at an undershirt, I was looking at a pair of ENORMOUS white underpants, easily classifiable as granny panties. And on top of that, her t-shirt was securely tucked into her panties, making them easily visible to anyone walking behind her, including the waistband. In fact, as she walked, you could see the word "Jockey" appear in thick black letters on the waistband peering under the shirt. You can see it in the picture if you look closely enough.

It almost looks like someone gave this woman a massive wedgie, tucking her shirt into her underwear, and then the woman just never bothered to fix herself and left the wedgie intact as she walked around. The fabric is absurdly high up on her waist, and her shirt seems to be practically consumed by the underwear. This must have almost certainly been an accident, but it seemed like if she was even half-paying attention to herself while she got dressed, she would have noticed this. All in all, one of the most bizarre catches I've ever found, and I'm just glad I was able to document it.

Hey, nice job Thor, you'll probably like these shots...

Slightly mature woman with a spaghetti strap tank top under a regular short sleeve t-shirt. The tank top is tucked in to her panties, but the T-shirt is just pulled on over the tank, and left un-tucked. She might have decided to add the t-shirt because too much bra was showing, but only she knows for sure. While standing, the t-shirt covers everything, but bent over / sitting, the panties & tank become visible.

Up until the 90's, even into the early 2000's it was fairly common to see women in their 40's or older to have their shirt tucked into their panties, and even some younger women did it. It makes the shirt stay smoother, and in those days jeans & slacks tended to have a high enough waist that even brief style panties usually wouldn't show. But as jeans and pants got lower and lower in the waist (and so did panties, but lagging the pants trend by a few years), the whole tucking the shirt into the panties thing became impractical.

Now we are seeing the trend reverse, waistbands of pants are getting taller again... will panties follow this time?

BTW, I'd guess that your gal started off with her panties fully hidden, but it looks like walking around without a belt has caused the jeans to ride lower & lower, exposing more & more panty. I'm sure she eventually fixed this, you just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

There is no magic bullet in candid photography, it's all about being in the right place at the right time... Well, and having a camera, some clue of how to use it, and the nads to pull the trigger.

Unfortunately I have no pics to show, but I became a huge "shirt tucked into thong" fan after dating my ex g/f. She would only do it occasionally and it was mainly when she would wear dressy/business attire clothes. I never asked her why she did it but I think she thought it would help keep her shirt from coming untucked; most of her dressier shirts were silk/nylon and because the material was smooth they seemed to slip out of her pants so by tucking them into her thong the elastic waistband would keep the shirt tucked, the only downfall was eventually her thong would ride up or her pants would slip when sitting and expose her thong; I enjoy the peeking thong look and would never tell her, plus I found it arousing that other men might see her thong. The added bonus was the majority of her thongs were colors and designs.
