Trying to upload jpg's, but keep getting "invalid URL"

I have tons of pictures saved on imgur. But when I enter the URL for an image file on the Basic Uploader, it keeps giving the message "Invalid URL". It's not. I've used the URL in other settings and it works just fine. Is imgur not an approved source of images?

Are you doing it from the "imgur.com/a/xxxxx" URL, or the "i.imgur.com/xxxxx.jpg" URL?
