I did the ride and have to agree - the marshalls and stewards (and the riders, too) were very anti photographer today - much more than ever before.

At the second rest stop, the riders had the police remove a photographer from the area - the first time I've ever seen that.

But everyone was telling photographers to ask permission for photos - even when they had already asked permission - they were jumping to conclusions that they hadn't.

Yes, lots of photographers turn up and take pictures of you. The nature of the event means that often, asking permission isn't possible or desirable.

I seem to recall seeing some very attractive young ladies here and there - I would go so far as to see it was a bumper year for people interested in that kind of thing

Am I the only one who noticed this woman? I love the attire - cycling jersey, but pulled up over the large boobs. LONG socks, but only covering the the legs and leaving the lady parts exposed. She isn't my body type, but sometimes, it is about attitude. I love this lady's attitude. Plus, don't miss the matching world champ markings on jersey, bike and gloves. That is attention to detail.

Maybe an idea for next year- to get around the aggressive, militant lesbian who drove Keri G round on a chariot last year, whose first organisational act this year I believe was to demand £800 to organise the ride- would be to put on a head mask, get naked and slap your chap up against any adjacent female like this dude seems to do every year...

I mean, what. I have the same notion about Lady God1va in London getting involved as a WNBR organiser in London, lovely though she definitely is. Like putting Diane Abbott in charge of the bouncy castle at the village fete.

I must add; your work, as (I presume) a professional photographer, is stunning. Are the Brighton organisers aware of your portfolio? From what I know of it, your photos are always friendly, relaxed and joyous- those you've uploaded to Flickr so far this year are far better than any official WNBR images I've ever seen. I wonder if different OCC/Flickr usernames would help, if as I presume the joykills are snooping on this forum?

I have to agree the stewards this year were far to aggressive and rude.
I was approached by one while standing near the lanes in Brighton waiting for the ride to come by, I was asked why I was going to take pictures and was accused of being a pornographer, I was later warned once again that I must ask permission to take pics of individuals, even though at the time I was standing talking to my friend and was not even taking any pictures.
